En route Cambodia

It's 5.55am here and we are sitting on a 3rd class train at Bangkok Hua Lamphong train station... En route to Cambodia!

We have decided that as we need to do a border hop at some point anyway, we may aswell make the most of the journey. In light of this we are planning a short stay in Siem Reap followed by possibly Phnom Penh and Sihanouksville!

But first we have to get there! The border crossing is meant to be quite confusing, however we have read a lot about it online. We get a train from Bangkok to Aranyaprathet (Thailand) then cross the Thai exit border at Rong Khleu and then get a Cambodian visa, hopefully without being scammed on the way. Then we can proceed to Poipet across the border, from where we can get a transport to Siem Reap. We departed at 4am this morning, we should arrive at around 8pm tonight, long day!

We will update more when we arrive...
